If you’ve rooted your phone but want to return to stock (for OTA updates, banking apps, or warranty), follow these steps.
Method 1: Unroot via root manager app
Open Magisk, SuperSU, or your root app → choose Uninstall / Full uninstall → reboot.
Method 2: Flash stock firmware (recommended)
Download official firmware for your exact model → flash with Odin, Mi Flash, SP Flash Tool, etc. This fully removes root.
Method 3: Factory reset
A reset does not always remove root if boot/recovery was modified. Reset only after uninstalling Magisk/SuperSU or flashing stock ROM.
Verify unroot
Use Root Checker to confirm root access is gone.
